Memorandum of Understanding and Gate of Hope

This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is executed, between Gate of Hope Afghanistan (GOH-Afghanistan), a reputable non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality services to vulnerable populations in Afghanistan, represented by Mr. Lal Mohammad Darwish, Gate of Hope Representative in Afghanistan, and the esteemed office of AWEC (Association for Women’s Empowerment and Change), a recognized leader in capacity-building initiatives, represented by Mr. Mustafa Adeeb, Project Coordinator of the ASP (Capacity-Building Sector) project.
The fundamental purpose of this MoU is to formalize and strengthen the collaborative partnership between GOH-Afghanistan and AWEC in the realm of capacity-building. This strategic alliance aims to elevate the skills and competencies of Gate of Hope staff in critical domains, thereby enhancing organizational effectiveness and impact.
Areas of Focus:
The collaborative capacity-building initiative will focus on the following key areas:
1. Management: Advanced training modules designed to refine leadership and organizational management skills.
2. Projects Management: In-depth sessions addressing best practices in project planning, implementation, and evaluation.
3. Proposals Writing: Specialized workshops to hone the expertise of Gate of Hope staff in crafting compelling and successful project proposals.
4. Technical Support: Targeted support and knowledge transfer in technical areas relevant to the ASP project.
ASP Project Collaboration:
This MoU also delineates the parameters of collaboration in technical aspects related to the ASP (Capacity-Building Sector) project. Both parties commit to fostering a synergistic partnership to ensure the seamless execution and success of the ASP project, contributing to the overarching goals of women’s empowerment and societal change.
This agreement is officially ratified by Mr. Lal Mohammad Darwish, an eminent representative of Gate of Hope Afghanistan, and Mr. Mustafa Adeeb, an accomplished Project Coordinator overseeing the ASP project at the AWEC office.
The collaborative efforts outlined in this MoU are effective from the date of signing and shall remain in force for an initial term, subject to extension by mutual agreement. Termination may occur at the discretion of either party with prior written notice.
